Know what your Ingress-NGINX migration will actually cost you
Ingress-NGINX stopped receiving releases, bugfixes and security updates in March 2026. Existing installations keep serving traffic β which is exactly why the risk is easy to defer.
From $3,900 fixed scope, excl. tax β quoted before anything startsCompany-paid? Our invoices can qualify for Luxembourg's professional training co-funding (lifelong-learning.lu) β eligibility conditions apply.
What makes this migration go wrong
- Conversion tools translate over 30 common annotations, but provider-specific ones may not translate at all β and some, such as request-size limits, have no Gateway API equivalent.
- Converted manifests are accepted by the cluster while behaving differently from the Ingress they replaced.
- A conformance claim covers one Route-and-Profile combination plus only the extended features an implementation claims, so target support has to be checked, not assumed.
What you get
- An annotation and route inventory, ranked by traffic served rather than by count
- Every annotation classified: translated, implementation-specific, or without equivalent on the target
- A parity test outline covering the routes that carry partner traffic
- A wave plan with abort signals and a rollback that is rehearsed rather than documented
- The skills gap, mapped to specific courses
What this is not
This is a decision pack, not a predetermined recommendation. It does not promise zero downtime, and it does not conclude in advance which target gateway you should adopt β the inventory decides that.
